The Party

Chayce was SO happy to be celebrating his birthday. He was in the perfect mood to party!




















I got this cute cake idea from my wonderful friend Steph. We had an "UP" themed party and it turned out great. Thanks for the ideas Steph! She made the cute house which we borrowed.





















I got Chayce to cooperate wearing the bday hat long enough for a few pictures.














This was probably the highlight of the evening. My brother was teasing Chayce with this balloon and Chayce was laughing so hard. It was darling!



























































My Mom can get my boys so excited! She is a wonderful Grandma!




















We always thought we'd end up setting Peyton and Khloe up but she might be taking dibs on Chayce! She's his little mother and was giving him lots of loves!















I love my boys so much. They bring so much joy to my life! I feel bad because I was a little negative at the beginning of the party about being a Mom to a toddler, but I truly love both of them so much and am so grateful to be their Mom. It's the best job in the world.



































I loved this picture because you can see my Dad enjoying Chayce's reaction in the background. My parents find so much joy in their grandsons and its neat to watch their interaction with them. I am so lucky to have such an amazing immediate family and wonderful inlaws!





















Then there was the cake! He did a great job digging right in and enjoying.

Dan and Wendi brought their sweet little boys to the first family party. This is the first picture we have of all seven grandchildren with Grammy and Papa. How sweet is this! When you see them all together its crazy we've gone from one to seven in three years! I love the Ercanbrack family so much and feel so blessed to have married into it. We love our cousins and the close realtionships we have with you! Thanks for your support at the party!

And yes, another excuse to spoil my child rotten! I'm a sucker for bdays and find too many fun things! Thanks to everyone for the wonderful gifts. These evenings are memories I will never forget of my children growing up.

One

My little, cuddly newborn Chayce is now ONE! The older he gets he looks more and more like McKay when he was little.

Here are a few things I love about Chayce:

The fact that he loves his MOMMY! Sometimes its hard on McKay and babysitters (and I must admit his attachment to me is wearing off a bit). But he is definitely a Mama's boy for the moment and I LOVE it!

The love he already has for his brother...they are going to be buddies

He is quick to smile even if he's not feeling well or upset...he's a genuinely happy child

We love you Chayce. You are a wonderful addition to our family. We are partying on Saturday so hopefully we'll have a great cake mess to show off!

Happy Happy Birthday Mother Dear!

I love my Mom so much. She's such a great lady. Selfless, charitable, humble and happy...four perfect words to describe my Mom. We had a great morning celebrating with you! Thank you for everything you do for our family. The boys adore you and would spend everyday with you if they could. You are an amazing person!




















Chayce had fun swinging on their swing for a few minutes. He looks so big to me in these pictures!















I posted this one to show the two fang teeth that have now cut through...both of my boys have been vampire babies until their two front teeth decide to come! I am so excited to celebrate his birthday this next week. First birthdays are my favorite!

McKay and I got to sneak away for a few hours to see the new Robin Hood movie. Pretty good...and always great to be out with my husband! Thanks to my cute neighbor Lauren for watching the boys!

Father and Son

Peyton experienced his first Fathers and Sons overnight camp out last night. When all was said and done I think McKay would say it was a success. He didn't sleep much, but said Peyton slept OK. Our child doesn't function very well without the right amount of sleep so that was the reason for an ornery child this morning. Up until past 10 p.m. and probably awake by 7 doesn't work well with him. But lengthy rides on the four-wheeler does wonders to cheer him up!















He was thrilled to be going in the truck with just he and Daddy. Oh my does he love his Dad!















Even though its just one night you miss two of your favorite people when they are gone. Glad it was a good night and you made it home safely!















Chayce will get his turn in a few years. Three seems like a good age to let them venture out! In the meantime he gets to hang out with Mommy. We had fun going to a baby shower for my friend Kelly...she has three boys and is expecting a girl! Gives me some hope :)

One of my favorite things about being a Mom is having pictures of my boys up in my house...I love great photography and wish I was better at it! Haley Warner took these and I love them.

Mom

The word "Mom" has obviously become much more meaningful the past few years. It takes on so many definitions and is an around the clock obligation. To be a good Mom is definitely not for weak people! Unfortunately my weaknesses have been exposed due to motherhood (especially in the last year!) My saving grace is that my children are very quick to forgive and love me unconditionally. My appreciation for my Mom continues to grow as I experience each phase of motherhood with my own kids.















My favorite women in my life. Thanks for the delicious filet dinner!















We also had a fun celebration at the Ercanbracks. Lucy is about four months younger than Chayce and is crawling circles around him...it's so funny! They were on all fours staring at each other for quite awhile but of course my camera takes too long and I missed the perfect moment.

We all went in on a Mother's/Father's Day gift for Wayne and Pam...I love that you can personalize these temple pictures now. I may have to take mine back in and get it done...

I am surrounded by so many amazing women who are great examples to me. Thank you all for your support in helping me be a better person. Happy Mother's Day.

Wonderful Evening

It's so nice to go on dates with McKay. I love it. We had a great afternoon/evening spent shopping and eating a wonderful dinner at Chef's Table. Nothing I like better than good food and shopping! I got a few new things at the mall and we found a kitchen table we really like.





























Seven seems like such a big number. The jump from six years to seven years seems like a big one for some reason. It's really amazing I've known McKay for eight years now! Life seems to get better as each year goes by. I'm very fortunate and have so many reasons to be thankful!

This guy makes me so happy. We have been married for SEVEN YEARS! I really can't believe it! It's been an incredible journey so far and I'm lucky to have him. We are off to celebrate tonight just the TWO OF US. I can't wait. Love you McKay.
