Jaundice BITES!
Just wanting to hold and snuggle this little thing, but instead she gets to sun tan under the blue lights. Been on them since Sunday and I'm really hoping today is our last day...pray for my sake and hers that it is! Of the many complications or things that can go wrong with a newborn...trust me I'll take this. It's so minor and is easily fixed. Just ready to dress her and hold her again!
Home
We packed up and headed home on Friday, January 13th. It's actually nice to be waited on at the hospital, but not worth the no sleep I get there!
I've been waiting to put this beanie on her...a little big but I still love it!
I think the thing I was most excited about that's different from boys is that I get to put a girly bow on her head everyday! I actually really like dressing my boys and finding cute things for them also...just fun to do something different now!

Love this sweet little outfit from Grammy
Nothing like bringing a precious little baby home from the hospital and into the one place in this world where they are completely safe...
Visitors
Having a baby makes you realize how many people love you! We have been SO taken care of this past week and we are so grateful to all of you who have done so much for us! I had a very fun and cute shower thrown for my by my Mom, Aunt Julie and cousin Kristen and sisters Chels and Melis that I still need to post about...just need the pictures!
Grandma in heaven...so sad Pam started getting sick the day she was born and has been ever since. Tonight she finally gets to come over and we'll get pictures then!
We are making Racheal an aunt! So fun to have her in the fam. Thanks for the visit from my amazing siblings...glad we caught Rach too before she went back to London!
This was my labor and delivery nurse Jodi. She was fabulous! We lucked out! I was trying to coordinate having her on a day when a new friend of mine Krista was working, but it just didn't work out...but I was so grateful we got her! It makes a big difference!
Baby Asher is watching from heaven now waiting for his turn to join his two buddies. We can't wait to meet him! Katelyn is now the fourth granddaughter to Wayne and Pam (cute Lucy is number 2).
Uncle Davy and Aunt Lisa...sad the kids weren't there too...need to get a picture! Khloe is so excited "baby girl Ercanbrack" is here. It may take awhile to start calling her Katelyn :)
Grandpa...he seemed pretty smitten by her when he met her. He has a great relationship with the boys but there's just something about the relationship with the men in a little girl's life.
Had such a fun visit with some of my greatest friends. Sarah's baby boy will be here in a few short months! One day I'm going to post all the pictures we have like this. Dates back 8 plus years to when Hallie was born!
The Asays. Crazy the twins are two next week! I have to thank Wendi for the wonderful dinner and freezer meals she brought the other night. So grateful!
Baby Jersey and Katelyn...reunited! Crazy what a month's time does...Jersey was close to Katelyn's size when she was born! She's still a little peanut too though.
Can't wait for playdates! I'm sad that they are moving to Texas but we know she will be back to visit lots...(uncle Kurt came to visit too...sorry we missed you in the pic!)
Nikkel was my nurse both days I was in the hospital and was so sweet. She took good care of us.
Missed this from before, but here the boys are meeting sister for the first time...what a fun moment!

Love you so much baby girl! By the way...she looks just like Peyton did when he was born!
Katelyn Capri...January 11, 2012
Baby Kate is here! Katelyn Capri was born Wednesday, January 11th at 8:01 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds 9 ounces and was 20 inches long. Labor went really fast (5-10 in under two hours!) If only the nine months preceding labor were that easy!
Here we are with the wonderful Dr. Jones! He is SO great. He was going to be gone the whole week before my due date and I really wanted him to deliver her. Luckily my body progresses well, but I just don't go into full blown labor on my own...so with a little nudge that morning we were able to get her here!
I can't believe how much hair she has! For an Ercanbrack baby it's alot!
Grammy and Papa were the first to arrive to meet baby Sis. Brother was so excited to see her get washed off!
I would say Peyt has been pretty impacted by her. He is so fascinated by everything she does! Grandma thinks she's pretty amazing too! She had the boys quite a bit while we were in the hospital which we really appreciated!
Our first family of five photo! This was around 10:30 p.m. so we were all getting a little tired...
McKay is the most wonderful father to our kids. They are so lucky to have him. He's been so sweet with his little princess. I can already tell they will have a special bond. I knew she needed to be Katelyn...Daddy's little girl!

While I was in the hospital I had a lot of time to hold her and ponder what a miracle and blessing it is to have a healthy baby. I feel so incredibly blessed and fortunate to have such a beautiful little baby with us now. I love her more than I can say...
