I can't believe this chubby baby was only six pounds when we brought him home from the hospital! He is SUCH a joy and I love every minute I get with him. He sleeps alot (thankfully!) so his awake time is precious. I took video of him flailing his arms and legs and talking to me. Newborns are worth all the work they require!

Di.Vine
These little beauties are absolutely delicious. Vanilla cupcakes from the Sweet Tooth Fairy bakery in Provo. Please don't open near my house or I will be running five extra miles everyday.

The 4th and Chayce's Blessing
We had a great 4th weekend. I decided last minute to run the 5K in Provo. It was fun and I got to run with Lisa which was even better! This is the beginning of my training for the St. George Marathon a year from this fall (as long as I get the draw!) I've always wanted to run at least one in my life so we'll see if I make it. My parents took Peyt to the balloon fest and we all met up at Magleby's Fresh for French Toast after...nothing better for breakfast!

That evening we had a fun party for Wendi and Ben at the Ercanbracks...with Wayne's famous dutch oven chicken! I love wearing red, white and blue together on the 4th. It really is one of my top three favorite holidays!

Twinners!

These two are loving each other this summer. So glad they are so close in age! Love you Alaynah, Tyler and new baby girl coming in October!
Chayce's blessing was wonderful! McKay did such a good job. So grateful we have the priesthood power in our home. Chayce was a sweetie during the blessing....so glad he was happy! Thanks to our family who came...especially Grandpa and Grandma Shoell. We know it's hard to get out now and it meant alot for you to be there!

The Rest of June
So I guess for awhile I might be down to two posts a month. I'm sure things will get back to normal once Chayce is on a schedule. I must say he is an excellent sleeper, I just try to get everything else done while Peyt is taking a nap...so blogging comes last. My pictures below are in backwards chronological order. I wasn't paying attention to the order and don't want to mess with it tonight. Anyway...here it goes...
No pic but we took Peyt to the Orem Owls game last Sat. So fun! Grandpa Neiger was a little jealous we were going without him...but I'm sure he'll get a chance to take him sometime. He's going off to California to visit Grandma Neiger for almost a whole week next week WITHOUT ME! I'm going to miss my sidekick more than I realize I think. I know he'll have fun though.
We took Chayce to his first day of church...slept the whole time pretty much! The picture of him is a little weird. I think I caught him off guard with the flash.
The wonderful Fugal family came to visit us and brought many gifts...a delicious dinner and two full on matching outfits from Gymboree. We love this family so much! We've known them for many years and now I get to be somewhat neighbors with them! They are wonderful people and we appreciate their friendship! Their baby Jack is only a month older than Chayce so we think they'll be buds growing up!
I took Peyt swimming two days in a row...thanks to both Grandmas for taking Chayce for me. We tried out the Scera and new Lindon pools for the first time. Both SO fun. We'll be going back this summer!
My new-found love is to match my boys the best I can. I can't justify buying new matching wardrobes because I already have SO many clothes for Chayce. But where I can I try to put them in the same colors at least. SO fun!
Happy late Father's Day to the wonderful men in my life. We love you all so much! We had a wonderful day celebrating with our own Dads...thanks for the fun evening family! (I love the cousin picture...right after it was taken Tyler stood right up with Chayce...I think it gave everyone around him a heart attack and scared him too. He's a great big cousin to the kids!)
Last but not least...happy belated bday to my awesome brother Jack. We had a delicious filet mignon dinner with the family to celebrate. He is such a great person and I love and respect him lots!
We're looking forward to a fun and eventful July. I can't stay inside during the summer so I'm sure I'll have more events to report!

Delighted...
Amanda Peterson (www.amandasimages.com) did a fabulous job. I'm so happy with them...and there are many to look at. Enjoy...

GROSS!
*Warning: not for weak stomachs
I was at my in-laws yesterday and Chayce had THE worst diaper I've changed in two and a half years. He had done his business so I went to change him. As I took the diaper off he gave another big push...and another....and another. I held the diaper in place for an extra five minutes or so to let him get it ALL out. I must say that diaper weighed at least a pound. I went to quickly move the full diaper to put a clean one under him and he squirt at least three feet. My skirt was COVERED in #2 (I hate the word poop so I'll really never use it on this blog!) He missed their carpet completely and made it to the tile which I was thankful for (newborn #2 stains so bad...I think my skirt is history unless Oxyclean can do its magic). I never knew something so little could discard so much! Glad he felt better after that :)

The past few weeks...
...have been wonderful! I didn't get great sleep last night so I can't say it's all been perfect, but close! I really overestimated how hard two would be and I think I'm functioning pretty well with two. I have lots of help from family so that makes it much easier, but I think I'm going to be OK!
I've decied I'm going to start posting pictures at the end of my posts...a) because I am sick of adjusting my postings for pictures and text throughout...if someone knows how to make this easier, let me know and b) my pictures usually don't need alot of explaining anyway...and when I import everything into my journals I print out, they don't make sense because the sentences aren't right underneath the pictures like they are in the blog.
Chayce seems bigger to me already! You'll see how small he is though compared to Peyt...it makes Peyt look like a giant! He was finally able to have his first bath which was so nice...what a good day when the umbilical chord finally falls off! We've had lots of visitors which has been great. And Chayce has now met three of his five great grandparents (four generation pictures to follow). His little life has been very blessed so far and we love, love, LOVE him.
For Mother's Day, Grandma Erk got a huge waterslide thing and a fun bouncy house. I think they are breaking out the waterslide on the 4th of July but they opened the bouncy house and Peyton LOVED it. They gave us a trampoline for Christmas which Peyt loves also!
