So You Think You Can Dance coming to UTAH!

I'm so excited...I've been waiting since the first season of So You Think You Can Dance to bring the tour to Utah...and they FINALLY are! The show is Tuesday, September 23rd at the E Center. Who wants to come with me? I'm definitely planning on being there! I actually love all the dancers left (minus Comfort...just isn't stepping it up) so I know that it will be a great show. Sarah, you coming into town for it :)

Fourth of July

We had a great fourth of July as we do every year! This year started off with the 10K. I've decided I'm making this a tradition and will run it every year. When you start running races it makes you want to do them every weekend! I was pretty happy with how I finished but definitely have room for improvement. I would love to say someday that I can run a 10K with a 7 minute mile pace...those girls are awesome! Thanks to my family for coming to support me...McKay had to put the flags up in our neighborhood so he missed it, but next time :) I told him he should run the next one with me! Also thanks Mom and Dad for the delicious breakfast at Mimi's Cafe. Yummy reward for the end of the race.

Peyt and I came home and everyone relaxed most of the afternoon which was nice. Then it was time to head over to Wayne and Pam's for Wendi and Ben's birthday celebration. We had a yummy bbq, fun playing outside and a firework show! Thanks for the fun evening!

Tim McGraw!

I had such a fun night Friday night. Tim McGraw was in town and Lisa and I got to go see him! I think this is the sixth time I've heard him in concert...big fan! We had a great time. I'd never been to the USANA amphitheater so that made it even more fun. More exciting news is that he's coming out with a new CD soon! Thanks to my parents for watching Peyton all night so I could go.

Meanwhile McKay was fishing all weekend in the Uintahs with his brothers. He says he had a great time and caught lots of fish. I guess they hiked all the way up a mountain similar to Mt. Timpanogas just to find out the lakes on the other side were all frozen. So they hiked back down and found another unfrozen lake to fish. I'm glad he has family he can take on those trips so I don't have to go :) So bad I know. We're glad to have him home safe though! No bear attacks!

I'm getting ready this week to run the Freedom Festival 10K. I'm excited about it. Haven't run a race in awhile so it should be fun. I love the 4th of July...one of my favorite holidays!

Grateful for Good Health...

So it's been a rough few days...let's just say that. I've never felt so drained of energy and life in my WHOLE life. Luckily it hit over the weekend so McKay was great and took Peyton on. Monday I was doing a little better, but my great sister came and took Peyton and did my DISHES! What a sweetheart. Love you guys and thanks for taking care of your weak wife and sister :) Here's what happened Saturday before I went down...

Took Peyt to Strawberry Days. Funny that this was his expression during the WHOLE parade. Don't really know why. He didn't even flinch when the firetrucks drove right passed us and blared their horns as they always do. Maybe he's not such a big parade fan?

Walked over to the park after and Grammy bought us strawberries and cream (yum!) and a ride on the merry-go-round. Peyton enjoyed it very much so thank you Grammy!

Saturday was PORTER'S 2nd BIRTHDAY! Happy birthday bud. We love you! Lisa bought all the little boys these cute cowboy hats to wear. McKay was holding Porter and Peyt while they wore them and it would have been a cute picture...if my camera was ready for the two seconds they sat still. We had to settle for this one of Peyt and Porter didn't really want a picture when I tried.

This was McKay entertaining Peyt as a laid on the couch. Oh boy does this kid love his daddy. I think Peyt started to get bugged that all I was doing was laying there because he came and hit my head a few times...he is getting one little attitude.

So nice to be back among the living again.

Fun Day

We had a lot going on today but it was very fun...here were the events:

My sister-in-laws and I try and get our kids together once a week to "play" if you can call it that with two of the three being under 2. Today we went to Discovery Park and swam at Grammy's house. Too bad Peyt slept for 2 1/2 hours and missed the swimming party. And I didn't get one picture of him on our outing...oh well, I have enough anyway :) Here are my cute nephew and niece. Tyke splashed Alaynah pretty good and she was a good sport! What cute kids...Alaynah's glasses and hat were my favorite.

Off to the hospital to meet baby girl Lewis (so cute!). Addie and this little one are only about 16 months apart so Jess has her work cut out for her. Hallie is Steph's little girl and I'm in love with her. She's already a little diva and loves to make sure she looks all ready. She was telling us tonight that she thought her shirt would bug her because the sleeves point out a little bit, but when she put it on, it wasn't that bad. She says the funniest things and we all love it when she comes out with the girls :)

Pretty impressive shot with the timer function on my camera...first time I've used it. Before this Hallie took a few pictures for us with Steph's camera and it was so funny (and cute!) I wish I had it on video to post :) Aren't my friends the cutest! Jess looked so good today and don't worry that Steph had a baby 6 weeks ago!

We topped off the day just right by celebrating JACK'S BDAY! Happy 23rd brother! He's such an amazing guy who has his head on straight. My parents had a delicious filet mignon dinner (YUM!) and my Mom made Jack's favorite...chocolate mousse cake. We love you Jack and thanks for letting us celebrate with you. We hope 23 is an awesome year! You deserve it!

Couldn't end without posting a pic of Peyton :) This was on Father's Day...we had such a great day spent with family. Love you both so much :) Tomorrow will probably be an uneventful day spent playing with Peyt at home...nice to have those after busy days like today.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all of you wonderful Dads. I have some pretty amazing dads in my life...

Peyton is one lucky kid to have McKay as his Dad. He wishes so often that work didn't keep him away from home so much, but our goals point towards him being home more often someday. Peyton's face lights up when the garage opens and Dad comes through the door. He follows him around the house when he's home and LOVES to play with him. McKay has been so supportive of me and takes Peyton whenever he can so I can have time off. He's a wonderful Dad and I love him!

My awesome Dad. What an example. He (along with my Mom) is most likely the reason I graduated from college, didn't get into too much trouble in high school, love the church, etc. etc. etc. What an amazing influence a dad can have on his daughter and he has definitely been one for me. My dad's been going through a hard time (along with the whole family) with the ailing health of his dad. I know it's been a sobering and very hard time in his life and we want him to know we love him. It's made me realize you must cherish times of good health and happiness so you can carry those times with you when things aren't so great...as a side note...we love you Grandpa and Grandma Neiger and pray for you everyday.

Wayne is such a great Father and in-law to his family. Anyone who knows Wayne know that he raised his sons to be hard workers who are always willing to serve without complaint. Melis, Ash and I were lucky to snatch them all up :) He loves his family and is willing to do whatever it takes to help them. We appreciate everything you do for us Wayne...you are a great man!

Lots of love also to our Grandpas...it's through you that all of our family is possible.

Vegas

I've decided I'd like to take a trip down to Vegas once a month. It's SO fun to relax, sit by the pool, shop, eat good food and be with people you love! This time I went down with my Mom, Chels and Peyt for Chelsea to surprise her boyfriend Greg for his birthday. I was surprised, but the drive with Peyt wasn't too bad. He's such a good boy :)

Swimming! Gladly he likes the pool again and I love this floatie...minimal blowing up and he seemed to enjoy it too. Couldn't get a smile though.

Sarah and Ryan brought the boys over for a swim. So fun to see them as usual. Sarah dropped the boys off and came back to go shopping with us! Love ya Sar!

This was Peyton about two hours past his bedtime (Utah time). We ate dinner pretty late Monday night, but he did really well. He loves the Cheesecake Factory just like his Mom.

This is my cute sis and Greg. He's a sweetheart and we really like him. Hope you had a great birthday surprise Greg! Good luck with the rest of your selling this summer!

My favorite hotel in Vegas is the Bellagio. The water show is the funnest thing to do...I love to watch it. Inside they have beautiful gardens and this was set up in one of the corners...a mini Bellagio with the water fountains in front and all. Maybe McKay and I can getaway together at the end of the summer and stay there...sound fun? Hope I can talk him into it!

Thanks for a great trip Mom. Had a blast. Sad I didn't get a cute picture with the two of us...the one I took is not cute...

Congrats to Lisa...she's having a little girl and I'm so excited for her!

The Aquarium

My sister-in-laws and I decided to take our kids to the Living Planet Aquarium yesterday. It's a cute little place with some cool water life. Peyt was somewhat interested, but doesn't really get it yet. I'm sure he'll like it much more next summer. It's so funny because Wendi, Ash and I have decided to have Wednesday be the day we get together with our kids in the summer and so far EVERY WEDNESDAY has been bad weather...and guess what...bad weather again next Wednesday. Ridiculous.

Tomorrow night is McKay's 10 year High School reunion. He is OLD :) Lisa is in charge of it and has done a great job putting it together. I'm sure it will be fun to meet some of their friends I haven't met before. Yeah for the class of 98 from PG High!
