It's a great time to be a Jazz fan. I love the playoffs...brings out the feisty little competitor in me. Feels nice to have our team up 2-0 coming home to play! Hope the winning continues! Wouldn't it be AWESOME to see the Celtics and Jazz in the finals! Hope our playoff wishes come true!
Anyway...hope all of our family and friends are doing great. We're still anticipating a full week of nice warm weather so we can play outside everyday. It's still a little hit and miss....but we always know it WILL get better :)

Fun Spring Day
(Before I begin...the post previous to this was my husband's attempt to make fun of me. He thinks I think of four things all the time...having fun, babies, treats and cute things...oh my he has much to learn about me :)
Anyway...we had so much fun today! My friend Heather is in town from Iowa so we got together for lunch with some friends. Steph had a great idea to take the kids to the park after (it was beautiful outside!) so Peyt and I went. He LOVED it! I think we'll be taking many trips to the park this summer. Here are some pictures from the day!

Peyt also LOVES his cars and trucks. He's started to make a HMMM grunting sound when he drives them and I love it! Can you also see the lovely bruise on his forehead! I need a helmet for this kid! I'm so lucky because he automatically smiles for me when I get the camera out (as long as he's in good spirits). Do I have him trained or what!

Hello everyone I just wanted to say that things are so fun at the Ercanbrack house! Cute boys, babies, and treats galore!

American Idol Junkie
Yes that's right...I LOVE American Idol and I haven't said one thing about it this season. So here is my ode to American Idol post commenting on tonights performances (well, my four favorites anyway). I was a big Mariah fan in high school (and still say she's a very talented singer) so it was fun to hear her songs tonight. May I make a note that I only cheer for those who I truly believe I would buy a CD from...and I would be very likely to purchase a CD from any of these guys...

DAVID ARCHULETA

You are deaf if you don't think he has an incredible voice. LOVE him! And it's great that he's from Utah! I was thinking about it tonight and if he makes it to the finals, they will come to Utah and have his little ceremonial debut here. I would be surprised if he didn't make it to the end.
DAVID COOK

My favorite performance tonight. I was a big fan of Chris Daughtry and he's got a similar sound to him. Would definitely buy his CD. He's always good.
BROOKE WHITE

She's got an awesome, unique sound to her voice that I love. Didn't love tonight, but she's usually really good.
JASON CASTRO

His voice reminds me of Kalai for all of my high school friends out there. I think he's great (even though I don't love dreadlocks!)
All the contestants are actually really good, but you gotta have favorites.
While I'm admitting my TV obsessions, thought I'd also mention McKay and I are on season 3 of Lost. We gave in to everyone telling us to watch a television series on DVD. So addicting. We usually watch at least 2-3 episodes every night. Bummer though that soon we'll have to wait for season 4 to come out on DVD who knows when! Can't start it in the middle of the season :(
So excited as well that So You Think You Can Dance will be starting next month. OK that's it. Those are the shows I love! (Oops, and the Bachelor and the Hills)...thank goodness for tivo and eliminating commercials.
Also GO JAZZ tomorrow night against the Spurs...I believe with a win they can clinch the 3rd spot in the playoffs with a guaranteed home court advantage in the first round! Yeah!

Sleeping...
...should not look so uncomfortable. This position isn't really as bad as how I've found Peyton before, but I thought it was cute that he laid on top of his dog...needed someone to cuddle with :) This kid cracks me up...except for when we are at church and he doesn't want to be there (like every week!)
We also got lucky yesterday and got to go play golf with McKay and the McArthurs! It was so nice to be outside and enjoy spring! I of course had a rough day golfing, but I'm determined to get better this year. Peyton loved it as you can tell...hopefully he'll enjoy playing with his Dad someday!

What a fun day...
I had so much fun on Good Things Utah. The girls on the show are so SUPER nice and made it such a great experience. We didn't know if Reagan was going to make it due to weather, and I'm so glad she did so I could meet her! Funny that the day I was on it snows :) But it was a great time and I appreciate all the support from friends and family. I had some great friends in the audience and I know many at home cheering me on. I love you all! So bummer news of the day...my tivo didn't work during the show...OF ALL TIMES! Good thing I have on the ball friends. Davy's great mom recorded it and is letting me use her tape so I can watch it and my family (McKay didn't even get to see it live!) So I'm excited to see it...and make fun of myself :) Anyway, thanks for humoring me and being excited for me...it was a great experience I'll never forget!
All my cute friends who came up...Jessica, Steph, Lisa, Raelene and Megan. Thanks girls!

I love conference weekend...
I love to hear from the prophet, apostles and leaders of our church! It's such a great weekend to learn so much. The conference edition of the Ensign is one of my favorite things to read. I hope all of you enjoy the weekend. It's also exciting to hang out with my Mom and sister during the Priesthood session. We're going to the Cheesecake Factory tonight! Yum!

Sickness...
...should not be allowed on your birthday! Poor Peyton was trying his best to have a good day but just in time for the party he started winding down. Presents and cake were more for Mom than Peyton...I saved his cake and sure hope in a couple of days we can try again for a great Kodak moment! Needless to say it was still a wonderful day and evening and we so appreciate everyone who was so generous in gifts and spent their evening at our house. I think all in all it turned out to be a successful first birthday party!

Happy Peyt earlier in the day

I bought this shirt forever ago at Babies R Us in anticipation of his big day

Family photo...this is funny because I took pics of him with everyone who came to the party. The one of our family was the only one he's actually smiling!

Not so happy by cake time...BUMMER!

Here's his cake...nothing fancy, but we love sports so it did the job!

I tried to get him to dig into it at least a little, but this is about all we got!
Can you say SPOILED! I actually took these this morning when he was happier. Thank you to everyone who gave him such cute toys! We thought he needed a little chic magnet this summer so this is his new ride!

Happy 1st Birthday Peyt!
What an amazing year it's been to have this wonderful sweetie in our home. He has brought us so much happiness and I am so lucky to have such a good little boy. He's my little buddy...and I couldn't ask for a better one! Thanks to everyone who has helped us raise him this first year. It's amazing how a child can receive so much love by so many people. I know he loves all of you...you can tell when he sees familiar faces that he loves you through his smile :) We're getting ready for the big family party in a few hours...as I've said before, can't wait to give him his cake! I'm sure we'll take a million pictures tonight and I'll have things to post for tomorrow...until then...happy birthday Peyton. We love you THROUGH and THROUGH!
