Life in a Nutshell...

See posts below for what we've been up to over the past month! Life is SO good. Can't be or feel more blessed.

While two has been a hard age thus far for me, I love Peyton SO much. He speaks so well and can communicate (when he wants to) like the best of them. I'm so grateful he is a healthy little boy, loves to play, can't live without his cars, thinks his Dad is the greatest person to walk this earth and loves me to sing him to sleep. How can you resist walking back to his bed ONE more time when he whispers...Mommy just one more song? Pictured above is him on his beloved Tramp-o-ween. It's the first thing he asks Dad to do when he gets home from work. Love you Peyt!

Chayce is an angel baby. Can't get enough of his chubby cheeks and rolls that go all the way down his arms and legs. We went to the doctor last week for his four month check and he weighs in at just under 16 pounds! My kids know how to eat thankfully! The picture above is how I find him half the mornings. Turned the opposite way of how I lay him down the night before! Still doesn't roll, but can turn his body 180 degrees!

While I think sometimes there's got to be a girl coming someday, I am also convinced I have the boy Mom thing down now. They are the most amazing blessing in my life and I'm so grateful for them and McKay. Thanks for being my everything BOYS!

Brad Paisley

McKay and I went with the McArthurs to Brad Paisley last weekend. This was the third time seeing him in concert...he's great! Usana is such a fun place for concerts (although you have to be prepared for rain!) We had amazing seats which made it even more fun!

True Brad Country Fans!

Bad picture but shows where we were...right next to the stage! I just noticed I got a picture of another person taking a picture on her phone!

Lisa and I went up to the side part of the stage...and Brad played RIGHT above us...and I'm not lying when I say he was standing directly above us. It was so fun! He's awesome on the guitar!

Here's our husbands laughing at us for going right up to the stage...it was worth it!

Thanks for a great night Babe! Brad's new CD has two great songs on it if you are a country fan and haven't heard it...Then and Anything Like Me...both very relevant to our life right now!

27

Feels good to be 27. I'm OK with it. As I get older I'm going to try really hard to accept and embrace my age. That way my birthday will always be enjoyable!

Thanks Mom for the delicious Strawberry Cake. We haven't had it for a long time so it was a fun treat! She is a fabulous cook!

I love seeing pictures of our family now. So great to see two little boys. I love them all so much!

Thanks for the great bday babe. We went to Tucanos (LOVE) and went shopping. I got a great perfume my friend Kallee introduced me to (the summer version of Angel from Nordstroms...its awesome!) McKay and I are off to Vegas soon so I can spend my bday money!

Thanks for everything so many of you did for me! I feel so loved!

Meet Canyon and Kurt

This is McKay's new puppy Canyon. He's a yellow lab and is actually pretty cute (NEVER thought I'd say that!) No I am definitely not a dog person (not even a pet person), but I'm learning to live with it. McKay has begged and pleaded for six years and I finally gave in. All my friends who have a hard time with dogs not to worry. When visitors come over he's in a secure place! Peyton loves to play with him so in the long run it will be a good thing for the boys in my life (heaven please send me a girl:) Definitely not an announcement for anything anytime soon though!

Our beautiful sister Angel is getting married! Kurt Blain proposed at the beginning of September and we couldn't be happier for them. His sister-in-law took this picture of them...check them all out at www.kelibphotography.blogspot.com. Can't wait for November 12th you two when you tie the knot! Be prepared for a fun adventure being in the Ercanbrack family Kurt :)

Washington

We had a wonderful trip to Washington at the end of August/beginning of September. My Grandparents have lived there for many years and its always a fun visit back.

Peyton LOVES his cousins (second cousins...my first) and talks about them often still. Thanks Mark, Nathan, Amy and Sarah for playing with him so much!

We did lots of fun things...this is at one of the great parks near their home. We had a KFC picnic and let the kids play. I have two aunts that live there also so its a great visit to be able to see everyone!

One of the best parts of Grandpa and Grandma's is their pool! They are members of a neighborhood pool that I used to swim at as a little girl. We went almost everyday we were there and Peyt LOVED it. They have a little kiddie pool that he'd run back and forth from. It's so fun to share the same memories with your kids that you had growing up!

They took me out to an early birthday dinner to my favorite restaurant in Richland, Casa Mia. It's a great italian place! Yum!

Peyton NEVER does this...after he fell asleep in the car Aunt Melinda carefully picked him up and held him in the restaurant. He slept almost the whole time we were there all cuddled up to her. It was pretty cute!

I can't get enough of this little man. He is so sweet. He was such a good traveler and slept SO well in the pack and play.

Four generations of the Johnson line

This was the birthday celebration cake...the Atomic Bomb cake. It is SO delicious.

Hanging out in the backyard. Again thanks to my great cousins for entertaining Peyton!

This little bud held his bottle while we were there! Cool trick but it hasn't stuck yet...

Thanks so much Grandma, Grandpa, Melinda, Laurie and family for showing us such a great time. Hope its not too long before we can come again! Also, thanks to my awesome Mom who drove us down there and made it possible for us to go!

And yet again the battle begins to watch the BYU football games on TV.

9.16

I'll be honest. I love birthdays...especially mine :)

You're lying if you don't like your birthday.

Even when you creep one year older to the big 3-0 (I'm 27 to be exact...and feel 20 still)

Can't wait to celebrate with my hubby, family and boys tonight.

I get to go shopping and out to eat (two of my all time favorites)

I'll take pictures and post them later.

Thanks for all the nice texts, facebook messages and phone calls. Love you all.

LOVE...Linds

PS - If you didn't know, McKay fulfilled a long-time dream of buying a yellow lab puppy last weekend. His name is Canyon. Pictures to come soon. He's cute and I'm learning to adjust...

Girlfriends...

...there's nothing like them! I saw my awesome girlfriends from high school yesterday. Thanks for organizing and having it at your parents house Sarah! There were 23 kids (newborn babies included) and complete chaos! But so fun. I thought I'd write a quick favorite memory about each of these girls...

Michelle (far left)...she was one of my first friends when my family moved to Orem in 9th grade. She had the most beautiful long, thick blonde hair (and still has beautiful hair :) We were the crazy dancers at high school dances...remember Oops I Did it Again and Who Let the Dogs Out Michelle?

Whitney (left on the couch)...Whit and I were BYU buddies. We hung out alot, especially our freshman year. We had BYU sports passes and went to all the BYU home games together. That year BYU played Utah at home...it was one of the come back to win games and we pretty much got pushed out of our seats and left early and MISSED IT! Oh well...we still had fun together!

Stephanie (middle couch)...oh there's so much to say about Steph. I've talked about memories with her over the time I've had this blog and there are so many...quazy mazy, Wingers, living at Raintree, weddings, babies, trips, shopping, eating out...it just goes on. I can't believe she has three children now and none of them are little babies! I love ya!

Beth B. (middle couch)...Beth and I became good friends in Mr. Kramer's photo class (remember that Beth!) She's our amazing dancer friend and I loved watching her at the Miss PG pageant...she was awesome! We had fun hanging out in her parents backyard with a pool...she had an awesome reception there!

Heather O. (middle couch)...this girl makes me laugh...she's so awesome! We were the BRC in cheer (Back Row Crew!) She did so many funny things to make us all laugh...you gotta love Heather! She's been gone for quite a few years now with her husband in medical school and has been such a trooper. We love when she comes back to visit.

Beth H. (right couch)...Beth and I were the "backspots" in high school cheer...lots of funny stories with that! She was always a good influence for all of us in high school. She is one amazing clogger and runs a big operation now! She's the one with cute little red-heads now...we'll see if my kids get it too!

Heather B. (Left standing)...we were inseparable in 9th and 10th grade. We did EVERYTHING together and talked SO much on the phone. Oh my Heather do you remember that! She was so sweet and threw me a 15th bday party at her house. She hooked me up with lots of free food at a juice place she worked at by her house...and I used to go visit her every night and hang out (it definitely wasn't a busy place :) Love ya Heather!

Amber (middle standing)...Amber was the other "newbie" friend like me in 9th grade. We joined "the club" of girls later on (glad they added us to the group!) She had a pool at her house we'd go swim at. Her house was usually where we'd end up after games on Friday nights. So fun!

Jessica (middle standing)...another I have many memories with. She knew boys from timbucktoo. We were brave and asked guys out all the time...50 cent Tuesdays Jess! She had a blueish green car we'd tool around in. Now she's such an amazing seamstress and helps me with sewing projects alot! You're awesome Jess!

Sarah (right standing)...like Steph there's a bit much to talk about with this girl...so many fun times. Her parents owned a condo in Midway we'd all go up to lots in high school...remember our own private Kalai concert! Again shopping, movies, eating out, trips (to visit her when she lived in Vegas), driving around in the purple Honda...you name it we did it!

I wanted to do this to express my love for all of these girls. You have made life fun over the years and its so fun to stay in touch...I hope we always do.
